Mini Book Review: A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas

Due to the length of this book and how much I enjoyed it compared to the others in the series, this one deserved to be a mini-review. I read A Court of Frost and Starlight right around the holidays, and it was the PERFECT time to read it.
The wintery vibes and holiday traditions celebrated by the inner circle were so fun. I also loved seeing all of the characters in as much of a low-stress situation as possible since, up until this point, there has always been a significant concern, problem, or enemy. Despite some regular friend group and family drama, they could all let loose and have fun.
What I especially liked about this read was the look into other character’s lives and perspectives. Hearing from them, learning more about their inner feelings, and connecting with them on a deeper level was so enjoyable. This story also opened the door further for the relationship between Nesta and Cassian, which was a great lead into A Court of Silver Flames.
Overall, this was a mostly wholesome and fun read. Still, it didn’t do much for me at the end of the day, and it would be a nice read to come back to during the holidays for something quick and festive. I am rating A Court of Frost and Starlight 6 out of 10 stars.
As always, thanks for reading! 💜
